I can discard a card to Chainer, in response, let the DoJ resolve, and then cast Garna from my graveyard to recover my creatures to hand, even though Chainer is no longer in play, correct? I have Chainer and several other creatures in play, and Garna the Bloodflame in my graveyard. Correct?Īgain, since Chainer’s ability does not target on activation, I can discard a Madness card to him, to cast it for its madness cost, and otherwise ignore the rest of his ability, even if I have no creatures in my graveyard.
I’m curious about answers to several Chainer scenarios, I would also like to get clarification on which kind of effects allow me to use sorcery-speed spells at instant speed (aside from the obvious, flash):Ĭhainer’s ability does not target, so I can discard a creature into my graveyard to activate him, then cast the same creature using his ability, thereby giving the creature haste.
